5. Vehicle Service Appointments
Appointments may require a deposit.
By scheduling service with Shield By Design, the customer agrees to:
- Arrive at the scheduled appointment time.
- Remove all personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle.
- Disclose any previous paintwork, body repairs, aftermarket modifications, existing coatings, wraps, tint, PPF, or other vehicle conditions prior to service.
Shield By Design is not responsible for issues resulting from undisclosed vehicle conditions.
Additional labor or materials required due to unforeseen circumstances may result in additional charges after customer approval.
6. Paint Protection Film, Window Tint & Ceramic Coating Installations
Shield By Design performs installations using professional techniques and high-quality materials.
The customer acknowledges that every vehicle is unique and installation characteristics may vary.
Normal installation characteristics may include:
- Small edge relief areas where necessary
- Seams where required by vehicle design
- Temporary moisture or haziness during curing
- Minor optical characteristics during curing
These conditions are considered normal within industry standards and do not constitute defects.
Customers are responsible for following all aftercare instructions provided after installation.
Failure to properly maintain installed products may affect applicable warranties.
7. Vehicle Condition
Shield By Design is not responsible for:
- Existing paint defects
- Paint lifting caused by previous repainting or bodywork
- Weak or failing clear coat
- Rust
- Existing chips, scratches, dents, oxidation, or damage
- Manufacturer paint defects
The removal or replacement of existing paint protection film (PPF), window tint, vinyl wraps, decals, emblems, graphics, ceramic coatings, or other aftermarket products carries inherent risk.
While every effort is made to perform removals safely and professionally, Shield By Design is not responsible for any paint, clear coat, primer, body filler, or other surface material that lifts, peels, chips, cracks, delaminates, or becomes damaged during the removal process.
This includes damage resulting from prior repainting, collision repairs, aftermarket bodywork, manufacturer defects, improper paint preparation, aging finishes, or weakened paint adhesion beyond our control.
By authorizing removal services, the customer acknowledges and accepts these risks.
8. Training Courses
Shield By Design training courses are intended for educational purposes.
Enrollment does not guarantee certification, employment, business success, income, or installation proficiency.
Students are responsible for continued practice and development after training.
Shield By Design reserves the right to modify course materials, schedules, instructors, or curriculum when necessary.
Students are expected to maintain professional conduct during training. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the course without refund.
Training materials, manuals, videos, and educational content may not be copied, recorded, distributed, or resold without written permission from Shield By Design.
9. Online Orders & Product Purchases
By placing an order through the Shield By Design website, you acknowledge and agree that all information provided during checkout is accurate, complete, and current.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all product selections, quantities, specifications, and shipping information before submitting an order.
Due to the nature of automotive protection products and materials, all online sales are final once an order has been processed.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- GSWF Paint Protection Film
- Ceramic Coating products
- Automotive detailing products
- Special-order items
- Custom materials
- Other automotive protection products
Shield By Design does not accept returns or provide monetary refunds for products that have been ordered correctly, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Customers must contact Shield By Design immediately regarding any concerns involving damaged, defective, or incorrect products. Shield By Design must be given the opportunity to inspect the issue and determine an appropriate resolution before any chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute is initiated.
Shield By Design reserves the right to:
- Refuse or cancel orders at our discretion
- Limit quantities purchased
- Decline suspected fraudulent transactions
- Restrict purchases made for unauthorized resale or distribution

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, Shield By Design is not responsible for carrier delays.
11. Returns, Cancellations & Chargebacks
All Shield By Design products and services are custom in nature, including but not limited to Paint Protection Film installations, window tint installations, ceramic coating services, detailing services, vehicle-specific materials, training courses, and special-order products.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL once a deposit, payment, or order confirmation has been received.
Due to the custom nature of our products and services, no monetary refunds will be issued unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Customers are encouraged to communicate any concerns or issues directly with Shield By Design. Shield By Design must be given the opportunity to inspect, evaluate, and make reasonable efforts to remedy any legitimate concerns before any legal action, payment dispute, chargeback, payment reversal, or stop-payment request is initiated.
If a customer initiates a chargeback, payment reversal, or stop-payment after services have been authorized, products have been ordered, or work has been completed, the customer may be responsible for all losses incurred by Shield By Design, including but not limited to processing fees, administrative costs, collection expenses, legal fees, and any other costs associated with resolving the dispute.
Shield By Design reserves the right to suspend future services, refuse additional work, or take appropriate collection action for unpaid balances.
12. Promotional Offers
Promotional offers may not be combined unless specifically stated.
Shield By Design reserves the right to modify or discontinue promotions at any time.

21. Estimates & Pricing
Estimates are based on information available at the time of inspection or consultation.
Final pricing may change if additional labor, materials, repairs, or services become necessary due to unforeseen vehicle conditions.
No additional work will be performed without customer approval unless necessary to safely complete the authorized service.
22. Vehicle Storage & Abandoned Vehicles
Customers are expected to retrieve vehicles promptly after completion of services.
Shield By Design reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees for vehicles not picked up within 72 hours unless prior arrangements have been made.
Vehicles left for extended periods may be subject to remedies permitted under applicable Texas law.
23. Estimated Completion Times
Completion dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Delays may occur due to additional requested work, curing times, parts availability, supplier delays, weather, or unforeseen vehicle conditions.
24. Photography & Marketing
Unless otherwise requested in writing before service begins, Shield By Design may photograph and record vehicles before, during, and after services for quality control, training, marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes.
Reasonable efforts will be made to avoid displaying personally identifiable information.
25. Communications
By providing contact information, customers consent to receive communications regarding:
- Appointments
- Estimates
- Orders
- Shipping updates
- Training registrations
- Customer service
Customers may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
26. Force Majeure
Shield By Design is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, supply chain issues, shipping delays, equipment failure, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
